“LVL 5 is the right name. Jon is amazing at what he does and brings that level 5 mastery to all his projects and clients. At Big Medium, we worked with him on everything from turning raw warehouse spaces into top tier exhibition spaces to fine-tuning our gallery for major exhibitions, and he always delivered with precision, creativity, and care. Beyond his craftsmanship, Jon brings a calm, knowledgeable presence and a collaborative spirit that makes even the most challenging projects feel effortless. He understands how to honor the artwork, the space, and the people involved, and the results always exceeded our expectations. LVL 5 will definitely meet all of your expectations, I can’t imagine a better partner to have on your side.”

“As an art handler for 25 years, I’ve learned a lot of tricks. Some the hard way with costly mistakes and some the easy way by watching veterans of the trade and their skill sets. Jon Lawrence is a skilled veteran. He does things right the first time. He does careful work in multiple areas, making him the perfect turn key installation manager. He can limit the number of outside contractors, simplifying and expediting the installation process. Walls, trim, drywall, painting, patching, light placements, safe hooks, shelving, hidden wiring, custom pedestals, vinyl lettering are all in his wheel house.
When I was Director of Gallery Lombardi, five rowdy galleries in Austin founded the Texas Biennial. That’s when I watched Jon Lawrence remodel an old house into the Art Palace Gallery and install its first exhibit, the first Texas Biennial. He did this on a tight timeline with a smile on his face. As a Board Member of Big Medium for ten years, I enjoyed working with him in an organizational capability. Over the years he’s built out many venues in Central Texas, for the Texas Biennial and Big Medium’s other ventures. Also as a specialist, I was Program Director at Women & Their Work Gallery, he worked with our artist and curatorial team to create the artist's vision of a shaped black wall, trimmed cabinets and custom pedestals. He’s a pleasure to work with, knows his stuff, keeps good records, enjoys picky artists and site specific challenges. I continue to work with him on the good days.”
